François-Xavier MADEK

Professor François-Xavier MADEK is a urologist, andrologist, and sexologist specializing in reconstructive surgery of the genitourinary system. He works at Foch Hospital (Suresnes, France) and is a faculty member at the University of Paris-Saclay Medical School. He is a member of the National Academy of Surgery of France.

• Urethral strictures
• Penile curvature (including Peyronie’s disease)
• Penile prosthetics
• Penile insufficiency
• Treatment of complex cases of fistulas, hypospadias, and adult intersex variations
• Application of advanced techniques, including buccal mucosa transplantation, use of cutaneous-muscular flaps, prosthetic materials, and development of robotic approaches to reconstruction

He is an expert of the European Association of Urology on urethral and genital reconstruction. He has performed hundreds of surgeries on the urethra and penis, including urethroplasty, prosthesis implantation, lengthening and straightening procedures, as well as various types of genital flaps. He has numerous scientific publications and regularly presents at international congresses.
