Dr. Anca Grosu is a radiation oncologist at the University Hospital Freiburg and a recipient of the Alfred Breit Award from the German Society for Radiation Oncology (DEGRO, 2020). Her professional interests focus on personalized radiation therapy protocols, including for elderly patients, positron emission tomography (PET), radiosurgery and stereotactic radiotherapy, as well as interventional radiation oncology.

The main objective of Dr. Grosu’s research is to study tumor radiosensitivity and radioresistance through the analysis of biological markers and to integrate these findings into radiation therapy planning using biological imaging techniques. Personalized treatment with enhanced precision ensures stronger effects on tumor tissue with fewer side effects.
