Anka Grosu is a radiation oncologist at the University Hospital Freiburg and recipient of the Alfred Breit Award of the German Society for Radiation Oncology (DEGRO, 2020). Her professional interests focus on personalized radiation therapy protocols including elderly patients, positron emission tomography (PET), radiosurgery and stereotactic radiation therapy, interventional radiation oncology. The main goal of Dr. Anca Grosu’s research activities is to investigate the radiosensitivity and radiation resistance of tumors by analyzing biological markers and transferring the obtained data for radiation therapy planning using biological imaging techniques. Personalized treatment with increased precision provides a stronger effect on tumor tissue with fewer side effects. Membership in professional societies:
