Professor Arnon Nagler has been heading the Department of Hematology and the Bone Marrow & Cord Blood Transplantation Unit for many years. He is also a Professor of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. Dr. Nagler established Israel’s national cord blood bank and was the first in the country to perform cord blood transplantation from both related and unrelated donors for genetic and malignant hematologic disorders.

He is the author of numerous articles published in leading peer-reviewed journals such as JCO, Blood, JEM, JI, Leukemia, and others, and serves as a principal investigator in clinical trials.

Research Interests: Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, Malignant hematologic disorders, Cord blood transplantation, Adoptive cell-mediated immunotherapy

1977 – Doctor of Medical Sciences degree at the Hebrew University

1984 – Master’s diploma in Cell Biology at Tel Aviv University

1986-1990 – Advanced training in Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at Stanford University
