Professor Boris Hendel is considered one of the most experienced surgeons in treating lungs in autoimmune diseases, cystic fibrosis, and other pathologies of the pulmonary system, and independently performs such diagnostic procedures as mediastinoscopy, thoracoscopy, and bronchoscopy. He currently heads the thoracic surgery unit at Assuta Medical Center.
Professional interests: lung cancer, sarcoidosis, Kaposi’s sarcoma, Pancoast tumor, tumors of the pleura and mediastinum; chest injuries.
