Herman Handelman

Herman Handelman is a cardiologist, an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The doctor specializes in interventional cardiology (non-surgical), in which treatment of structural heart diseases is performed using a catheter — a small flexible tube under X-ray control. This includes coronary angiography, transcatheter stent placement, and other procedures. In addition, the doctor devotes significant attention to scientific activity, being the author of dozens of publications in major international journals (International Journal of Cardiology, Journal of Geriatric Cardiology, PLoS One). Most of his work is dedicated to heart valve diseases, coronary angiography, and the prevention of vascular infections. An interesting fact from the doctor’s biography is that he participated, by invitation, in public medical education on Russian television in the program “Health” together with his former classmate, Elena Malysheva.
