Professor Ilan Shimon serves as the director of the Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Beilinson Hospital, Rabin Medical Center, and simultaneously is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University.
Scientific Interests: Diseases of the thyroid, adrenal glands, and pituitary; diabetes mellitus; osteoporosis; neuroendocrine tumors; regulation of growth hormone and prolactin secretion; as well as the formation of secreting and non-secreting adenomas in the pituitary.
