Manfred Zehender is a specialist in internal medicine, cardiology, intensive care, interventional cardiology, and arrhythmology. Since October 2023, he has been the Medical Director of Max Grundig Clinic. He has conducted research at Maastricht University (Netherlands), Minneapolis (USA), Boston (USA), and other leading institutions, and has authored more than 600 publications, many of which have been recognized with national and international scientific awards.

In recognition of his many years of collaborative projects in Kyiv (Ukraine), Astana (Kazakhstan), and Tashkent (Uzbekistan), the University of Almaty awarded him an honorary doctorate in 2010. Professor Zehender is a member of various professional societies, as well as numerous supervisory, advisory, and scientific committees.
