Professor Polina Stepensky serves as the head of the pediatric bone marrow transplantation unit at Hadassah. In 2018, she was ranked among the best doctors according to Forbes Israel. The professor specializes in the treatment of both malignant and orphan (rare) benign diseases in children through bone marrow transplantation. Under her leadership, more than 4000 bone marrow transplants have been performed, half of them in children. Polina Stepensky has received numerous awards and prizes, including the “Person of the Year-2018” award.
Scientific interests: treatment of pediatric hematologic diseases, bone marrow transplantation, immunotherapy of oncologic diseases in children.
