HOTEL DESCRIPTION

Les Sources de Caudalie is a five-star hotel located in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region, adjacent to the world-renowned vineyards of Château Smith Haut Lafitte. Surrounded by preserved nature with pine, oak, and chestnut trees, the property includes its own landscaped garden, where grapevines, fruit trees, herbs, and seasonal vegetables are grown. These fresh ingredients supply the hotel’s restaurants, while the wellness center offers signature wine-based spa programs using grape seed extracts and red wine.

The hotel opened in 1999, when Alice and Jérôme Tourbier developed their pioneering concept of “wellness through vinotherapy.” Today it is a charming village with two restaurants and a unique spa centre, Spa Vinothérapie, where guests have access to the therapeutic effects of thermal water combined with wine and vine extracts.

The hotel is also an aesthetic experience — each space is a blend of curated artwork and custom-made furnishings. The 62 rooms and suites are set in 6 personalised cottages whose names reflect the history of the region, its territory and vineyards:

La Bastide des Grands CrusThe main building, housing the reception, administrative offices, lounge areas, bar, and two restaurants.
Le Comptoir des IndesIncludes a fitness center and several guest rooms.
La Grange au BateauComprises only guest rooms.
La Maison du LievreOffers rustic-style rooms with wooden floors in the traditional Aquitaine fashion.
Suite I’ll aux OiseauxA stilted suite over the pond, the hotel’s most exclusive accommodation.
Le Village des PêcheursA peaceful retreat near the Arcachon Bay.

Accommodation categories include Confort, Prestige, Junior Suites, Suites Prestige, Signature, and Appartement. Each room has a timeless design with sustainable materials. Suites accommodate up to four guests and feature a balcony or terrace. Apartments are ideal for families, hosting up to six guests.

Dining

Les Sources de Caudalie features two restaurants and two bars. The hotel’s culinary offering is a highlight, especially with a Michelin two-starred restaurant:

French Paradox — A vibrant cocktail bar serving creative signature drinks.

La Grand’Vigne — A fine dining restaurant led by Chef Nicolas Masse, featuring traditional French cuisine and a wine cellar with over 1,200 labels.

La Table du Lavoir — a cosy restaurant with a perfect combination of refined, sophisticated dishes and old recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. In summer, the terrace overlooking the castle is open, while in winter the atmosphere is brightened up by the fireplace.

Rouge — A wine bar with a premium selection of Bordeaux wines and light bites.
