Terme di Saturnia Natural Destination 5* is an international standard medical thermal resort in Tuscany, open since 1919. It is located in the village of Saturnia, a place known for its natural hot springs since the Etruscan era.
The main value of the resort is the spring, which has been continuously flowing from the crater of an extinct volcano for over 3000 years at a stable temperature of +37.5 °C. The water is sulphurous, carbonated, sulphate, rich in bicarbonates and iron. It forms over 40 years underground, saturating with minerals, and rises to the surface at a rate of 500 liters per second, completely renewing the pools every 4 hours. Its mineral composition has a therapeutic effect on the entire body:
- dilates blood vessels and lowers blood pressure,
- activates capillary blood circulation,
- relieves muscle spasms and inflammation in joints,
- stimulates liver and digestive function,
- improves lung ventilation,
- has an antiseptic and rejuvenating effect on the skin.

Thermal Park Saturnia Day SPA
The Thermal Park is an open natural area of 20,000 m². It is here that a spring continuously rises from the crater of an extinct volcano, which has been flowing from the ground for over 3000 years at a constant temperature of +37.5 °C.
The park features 5 open mineral water pools, two of which are accessible to children. Immersion in the warm water is a complete physiotherapy procedure, the effect of which begins from the first minutes.
Thermal procedures and balneotherapy have a number of medical contraindications. The course is not recommended during the acute phase of any inflammatory diseases, in cases of severe heart, kidney or liver failure, oncological diseases, tuberculosis, epilepsy, uncompensated hyperthyroidism, varicose veins with complications, pregnancy and glaucoma. The final decision on the admissibility of procedures is made by the resort’s doctor based on medical records.
