Hadassah Medical Center specializes in the treatment of cancer, pediatric oncohematology, rare diseases, as well as spinal surgery, neurosurgery and cardiology. One of these devices is the PET-CT DISCOVERY MI — the most accurate scanner for detecting cancer metastases. Unlike a conventional PET-CT, which can detect tumors from 5 mm, DISCOVERY MI allows visualization of lesions as small as 2-3 mm, making it 70% more accurate compared to analogues. Hadassah is the only clinic in Israel equipped with this scanner.

In 2022, in the radiotherapy department for the treatment of skin cancer, head and neck tumors, as well as other organs, a revolutionary radiation therapy technology Alpha DaRT using alpha particles was implemented, allowing the destruction of solid tumors in almost 80% of patients. And in 2018, in the same department, a unique “Ethos” system with integrated artificial intelligence was introduced. With its help, it is possible to assess the patient’s condition and the tumor’s location in the body on a daily basis. At the moment, there are only 17 such “Ethos” systems worldwide, one of which is located at Hadassah Medical Center.
