Professor Lotem heads the Melanoma and Immunotherapy Center at Hadassah. She specializes in developing personalized treatment protocols for oncology patients. She is renowned for her work on individualized anticancer vaccines for the treatment of patients with advanced-stage melanoma.

Professor Lotem also leads the international CancerRNA consortium, which investigates the use of RNA-based therapies to activate antitumor immunity. Her research focuses on the mechanisms of the immune response in melanoma and the development of novel adaptive cell therapy approaches. She is a Visiting Professor of Oncology at Stanford University and a Research Scientist at the Broad Institute (MIT).

Professor Lotem earned her medical degree from the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. She completed her residency in the Departments of Dermatology and Oncology at Beilinson Medical Center, followed by subspecialty training in dermato-oncology at the National Cancer Institute (USA) and Stanford University.
