Saint Anna Clinic
About the Clinic
Since 2012, Saint Anna Clinic has been a member of the Swiss Medical Network.
Every year, approximately 4,000 surgical procedures are performed within the clinic, and up to 900 births take place.
Founded in 1922 in Lugano, in southern Switzerland, Saint Anna Clinic was established by the Sisters of Saint Anna Monastery from Lucerne, who dedicated their lives to caring for and treating the sick and nursing mothers.
Today, the clinic is a prestigious multidisciplinary center, encompassing not only specialties related to women’s health (obstetrics, gynecology, mammology) but also general and plastic surgery, oncology, and sports traumatology.
A noteworthy feature of the clinic is its neonatology department, dedicated to caring for premature infants. Each year, around 900 babies are born here.
The clinic has 80 beds and 5 operating rooms for both outpatient and inpatient procedures. Since 2005, its reproductive medicine center has been diagnosing male and female infertility and performing IVF procedures.
In 2011, the clinic opened an anti-aging medicine center.
For the convenience and comfort of patients, translation services are available at the clinic.
