One of the largest robotic surgery centers in Europe, with more than 1,000 da Vinci procedures a year

A European leader in the surgical treatment of prostate cancer and adenoma, with over 400 radical prostatectomies performed annually

St. Zdislava Hospital is one of Europe’s largest medical centers for robotic surgery, urology, orthopedics, and joint replacement.

The robotic surgery department is the hospital’s flagship, carrying out more than 1,000 da Vinci procedures a year, including over 400 radical prostatectomies for prostate cancer. Beyond standard prostatectomy and adenomectomy, the hospital’s surgeons also perform rarer robotic procedures, including buccal mucosa graft urethroplasty, artificial urinary sphincter implantation for severe urinary incontinence, and robot-assisted pyeloplasty for ureteropelvic junction obstruction.

The bariatric department performs sleeve gastrectomy and gastric banding as part of fixed-price treatment programs for obesity.

The urology department carries out diagnostic ultrasound and endoscopic studies of the urinary system, along with surgical treatment for patients with kidney and reproductive organ conditions — prostatectomy, adenomectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), cystectomy, nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy, and other procedures, performed either laparoscopically or with the da Vinci robotic system.

A cardiology service at the hospital manages patients with coronary artery disease and hypertension and carries out preoperative cardiac evaluation ahead of major robotic and bariatric procedures — an important step for older patients and those with additional cardiovascular risk factors.

The hospital’s plastic surgery, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and trauma centers draw patients from around the world for joint replacement and arthroscopy, as well as rehabilitation after injury and sports-related trauma.
