Anantara SPA Medical Center

Anantara Villa Padierna Palace has a 2,000 m² wellness complex — one of the largest in Europe, built surrounded by quiet gardens and hills of Andalusia. The center’s philosophy is rooted in Thai wellness culture. The word Anantara itself is translated from Sanskrit as “infinity” — a reflection of the idea of continuous harmony of body and mind.

The heart of the complex is the Aromatic Spa Circuit, a thermal route with 4 steam aromatherapy rooms, a sea salt hammam, Greek and Finnish saunas, a dynamic heated pool, a contrast pool, a flotarium and a laconium. The complex features 12 individual treatment rooms and specialized hydrotherapy areas.

Available programs and procedures:

Slim & Detox ProgrammeThe patient undergoes a thermal circuit, lymphatic drainage and detox massages, body contouring (LPG), underwater hydromassage, personal training and dietary recommendations with healthy nutrition menus.
Golf ProgrammeIncludes a special massage for golfers (shoulders, lower back, shoulder blades), deep tissue massage, warming with Thai herbal compresses, a thermal circuit for joint and muscle recovery, a personal training session with a trainer and functional diagnostics of physical condition.
Healthy ProgrammeThermal circuit, aqua therapy, signature body massage with a foot cleansing ritual, salt scrub and wrap, facial treatment, light yoga or aqua aerobics classes, nutritional recommendations.
Anantara Signature MassageA signature blend of essential oils combined with rhythmic movements stimulates blood circulation, promotes deep relaxation and restores energy flow along the meridian lines.
Anantara Signature JourneyA complete immersion in the Thai philosophy of “Nam Jai” (“heartfelt care”). It begins with a ritual foot cleansing with frangipani and hibiscus scents — a tradition symbolizing a new start. Next is a restorative massage with chosen oils, ending with an express facial treatment.

For body treatments, classic and specialized massages, seaweed treatments and wraps, as well as instrumental procedures are available: INDIBA Treatment (restoration of cellular metabolism, skin elasticity and microcirculation) and LPG Endermologie (body contouring and skin smoothing).

The facial care line includes high-tech Elemis BIOTEC Tech Facials with microcurrent, cryotherapy and LED technologies, as well as rituals from the brands Valmont and Biologique Recherche.

Visiting the thermal areas is not recommended for patients with heart disease, high blood pressure, allergies and chronic conditions. Pregnant women are advised to consult a doctor before starting any procedures.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Anantara Villa Padierna and other resorts?

The resort combines a medical wellness format with the luxury of a palatial style: classic procedures and medical consultations, instrumental diagnostics, osteopathy and structured medical programs under the supervision of specialists are available here.

Is it possible to come to Anantara Villa Padierna with children?

Yes, the resort accepts families with children. There are family rooms and villas with multiple bedrooms here. The main wellness area is aimed at adults (aged 16+), so staying with children is better built around the beach, pool and excursions around Andalusia.

Does Anantara Villa Padierna have a beach?

Yes. The resort has its own beach-club on the Mediterranean coast — a few minutes away by free shuttle. Sunbeds, a seafood restaurant and a bar are available at the beach club. Wellness programs are easily combined with a classic beach holiday on the Costa del Sol.

Can I visit the wellness center during pregnancy?

Yes, there is a special Mother-to-Be Massage by Elemis for expectant mothers — a gentle relaxing massage recommended from the second trimester. However, visiting the thermal areas (sauna, contrast pool, hammam) is not recommended for pregnant women — a doctor’s consultation is necessary before starting any procedures.

What is the minimum age for entry to Anantara Villa Padierna?

Entry to the spa area is permitted from the age of 16. Separate hours for children to use the indoor pool may apply — it is best to check the conditions in advance.

The information on the website is for reference only, does not replace a medical consultation, and is not an individual medical recommendation or offer for medical services.
