Resort description
Hévíz Spa in Hungary is one of Europe’s leading centers for medical rehabilitation and treatment of musculoskeletal diseases. The therapy is based on the use of natural factors from the thermal lake and mineral mud from local sources.
The water of Lake Hévíz is weakly radioactive, belongs to the calcium-magnesium-hydrocarbonate type, and contains sulfur, carbon dioxide, and radon. This combination of components has vasodilatory, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic effects, improves cartilage nutrition, and helps relax muscle spasms. Patients have access to drinking treatment with mineral water and weight reduction programs.
Mineral mud contains radium salts, regenerated sulfides, and organic acids. It is used for chronic degenerative and inflammatory diseases of the joints, ligaments, and spine, as well as during recovery after injuries and surgeries. Mud applications also provide a pronounced cosmetic effect: they improve microcirculation, stimulate collagen production, increase skin elasticity, and help reduce signs of age-related changes.
A complex of procedures utilizing thermal water, medicinal mud, and physiotherapy is effective for preventing and treating chronic pain, neurological symptoms (sciatica, musculoskeletal syndromes), endocrine-metabolic disorders, and various gynecological problems.
Hotel Europa Fit is suitable for patients with musculoskeletal conditions: osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteochondrosis, spondylosis, intervertebral disc hernias, chronic back and joint pain. An important direction of health therapy is rehabilitation after injuries and orthopedic surgeries (endoprosthetics, interventions on the spine and joints).
