Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort 5* is a resort on the Aegean Sea coast, on the Halkidiki peninsula. The Nero Kanistro thermal spring is located here. This natural hot mineral water of meteoric origin is formed from rainwater and melt water that seeps deep into the earth’s rocks, becomes enriched with minerals, and rises to the surface at a temperature of approximately 30-32°C. It has anti-inflammatory, muscle-relaxing, and calming effects, which help reduce joint and muscle pain and improve mobility. It is used in the pools and treatments of the resort’s wellness center, Myrthia Thermal Spa.
The climate of the Aegean coast promotes normal breathing, improves sleep, and strengthens the immune system, while detox and anti-aging programs aim to reduce the effects of chronic stress.
A stay at Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort is recommended for patients with musculoskeletal diseases (arthrosis, osteochondrosis), during the recovery period after injuries and surgeries, as well as for age-related changes in tissues and joints.

The Myrthia complex is located directly above the natural hot spring Nero Kanistron. It features three thermal pools filled with mineral water and a large thalassotherapy area. The total area of the complex is over 3,000 m².

As with any balneotherapy, thermal water treatments have contraindications: acute infections, active inflammatory processes, malignant neoplasms, severe heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension, severe renal and hepatic insufficiency, decompensated diabetes mellitus, pregnancy for certain treatments, and mental disorders in the acute phase.

Nero Kanistron is a natural hot underground spring with a temperature of 32°C, containing calcium, magnesium, and bicarbonates, while the sea water of the Aegean Sea is used separately — in thalassotherapy programs. Both types of water are used at Myrthia Thermal Spa but have different therapeutic effects.
Myrthia’s thermal pools with water from the Nero Kanistron spring (32°C) are recommended for arthrosis and chronic joint pain in remission. Hydrostatic pressure reduces stress on the joints, while the thermal factor improves microcirculation.
The resort is suitable for family holidays with children: it offers family rooms, children’s pools, and a club. However, the Myrthia Thermal Spa thermal area is adults only — children under 12 are not admitted. Medical and thermal treatments for children are prescribed strictly on an individual basis.
