Doctor Alaeddin Civik

Dr. Alaeddin Civik is a Professor, Doctor of Medicine, and Turkish surgeon. His clinical experience covers a wide range of surgical interventions in both adults and children. He is a recognized specialist in the fields of general and pediatric surgery. After graduating from the Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1972, he progressed from assistant to one of Turkey’s leading surgeons.

Professor Civik‘s career is closely linked with Istanbul University, where he distinguished himself not only as an outstanding clinician but also as a talented educator. In 1982, he became head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery, and from 1995 to 1998, he served as head of the Department of General Surgery. These leadership roles allowed him to make a significant contribution to the development of surgical education in Turkey. Today, he continues his active practice at the Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul. His long career is an example of combining advanced clinical practice with a dedication to academic science and the training of future generations of physicians.
