Doctor Harald Krentel
About the doctor
Harald Krentel is a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, a certified gynecologic oncologist, and a specialist in minimally invasive and robot-assisted gynecologic surgery. One of his main areas of expertise is the surgical treatment of deep endometriosis, including complex cases involving the bowel, urinary tract, and pelvic nerves. He also specializes in the treatment of adenomyosis, uterine fibroids, and gynecologic cancers.
From 2018 to 2025, Dr. Krentel headed the Department of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Gynecologic Oncology at Evangelisches Krankenhaus Bethesda in Duisburg. He also headed the Bethesda Gynecologic Oncology Center and, from 2023 to 2025, the Bethesda Endometriosis Center. From 2022 to 2025, he served as Deputy Medical Director of Bethesda and, in 2025, became Head of the AGE Training Center for Robotic Surgery.
Dr. Krentel is actively involved in research and medical education. He teaches operative gynecology at Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, holds visiting professorships in Peru and Mexico, and participates in international congresses and educational programs in endometriosis. He is also the author and co-author of more than 100 scientific publications and book chapters and has performed live surgical demonstrations in more than 15 countries.
