Doctor Maroun El-Khouri
About the doctor
Dr. Maroun El-Khouri is a Doctor of Medicine and an American board-certified oncologist-hematologist. He is a specialist in internal medicine, oncology and hematology. He received his medical degree from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, then completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Kansas and a fellowship in hematology-oncology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. In the United States, Dr. Al Khoury worked as the medical director of oncology and hematology services and also served as chief of medical staff.
Since 2010, he has been practicing in the Middle East, where he has focused on the treatment of lymphomas, leukemias and solid tumors using targeted therapies, intensive chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
In 2018—2020, Dr. El-Khouri was the director of a cancer center and also served as chairman of the scientific committee of the Emirates Oncology Society. He holds the status of Assistant Professor and participates in the academic training of physicians. Dr. El-Khouri is a certified trainer in the EPEC palliative care program. In his practice, he combines modern drug therapy protocols with supportive care aimed at maintaining patients’ quality of life.
He is fluent in Arabic, English and French.
