Doctor Muhammed Emin Akkoyunlu

Professor Muhammed Emin Akkoyunlu is a pulmonologist with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory system diseases.

His clinical interests cover:

• bronchial asthma
• chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• lung cancer
• tuberculosis
• pneumonia
• interstitial lung diseases

He is proficient in complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including bronchoscopy and transbronchial endosonography (EBUS), which allows for lymph node biopsy without open surgery.

Professor Akkoyunlu also has significant experience in managing patients in the intensive care unit and treating acute respiratory failure. He heads the Scientific Council on Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders under an authoritative professional association. He is the author of more than 400 scientific papers and reports published in national and international journals. He has written 13 books on his specialty. He regularly presents reports at international congresses and continuing education courses. He advises patients on vaccination and infectious lung diseases.
