Resort description
Marianske Lazne is one of the most renowned sanatorium towns in the Czech Republic and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is home to cold mineral springs: around 40 are located within the town limits, with approximately 100 more in the surrounding area. They vary in chemical composition and are used in drinking cures, mineral baths, and inhalation programs.
Centrální Lázně Health Spa Hotel 4* is the oldest complex in Marianske Lazne. The building was erected on the site of the first bathhouse, opened in 1812, and is situated near the colonnades with drinking springs. The wellness concept is based on the classic natural therapeutic factors of the region: mineral water, local peat, and natural carbon dioxide CO₂. The complex draws from three of its own springs, and the medical infrastructure includes the treatment rooms of the Centrální Lázně center and the modern wellness space of Maria Spa.
Centrální Lázně Health Spa Hotel 4* is part of the Ensana Hotels network, allowing guests to use the aqua-thermal zones of the neighboring resorts Hvězda and Nové Lázně. The resort is suitable for patients recommended treatment for kidney and urinary tract diseases, musculoskeletal conditions, respiratory disorders (chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, chronic pharyngitis), gynecological issues, and metabolic disorders (diabetes mellitus, obesity).
Medical centers
Centralni Lazne Medical Center
Centrální Lázně is the largest historic medical facility in Marianske Lazne. It features 24 treatment rooms. The programs are based on balneological and restorative methods, including mineral baths, inhalations with water from the Forest Spring source in aerosol form, massages, mud applications, and physiotherapy.
Procedures are prescribed following an initial physician consultation, during which an individual spa treatment plan is established and adjusted as needed throughout the stay.
Maria Wellness Center
The wellness center is located in the separate Maria wing. It features modern therapy rooms and the signature Maria’s Dry Gas Pool, while pools and saunas are available in the adjacent buildings of the Ensana complex, connected by heated walkways.
At the Maria center, guests can choose from natural CO₂ treatments, inhalations, peat applications, mineral baths, massages, and other balneological and restorative methods. Therapy is tailored individually and complements the main treatment course conducted at the Centrální Lázně medical center.
Sanatorium programs and individual procedures have medical contraindications. In the presence of chronic conditions, oncological history, or complex cardiovascular conditions, the decision on the possibility of treatment is made by the resort physician.
