Évian-les-Bains is located on the southern shore of Lake Geneva, at the foot of the French Alps, and owes its worldwide reputation to the famous Evian® natural mineral water, which originates deep within the mountains. Its journey begins with a natural filtration process: snowmelt and rainfall pass slowly through the Alpine glacial rocks over a period of approximately 15 years. During this time, the water is naturally purified and enriched with minerals before emerging at the Cachat Spring. Its balanced mineral composition-including calcium, magnesium, bicarbonates, silica, and electrolytes-supports the musculoskeletal and nervous systems while helping maintain the acid-base balance of the gastrointestinal tract.

The world-famous Evian® natural mineral water originates here, in the heart of the French Alps. At Evian®SPA, its therapeutic use is based on four core principles:

The 1,700 m² Evian®SPA features two heated swimming pools (an outdoor pool overlooking Lake Geneva and a spacious indoor pool), a sauna, hammam/steam room, hot hydrotherapy area, cold plunge pool and immersion bath, Snow Room, treatment rooms, and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.
The wellness centre offers the following therapeutic programmes:

| Mother & Baby Break | This three-day programme is designed for new mothers with babies aged 4 to 10 months. Its philosophy is to create a “bubble of wellbeing” – dedicated time for postnatal recovery while strengthening the bond between mother and baby. |
The main contraindications for treatments at Evian®SPA are consistent with the general limitations associated with spa therapies, hydrotherapy, and sauna use, and require prior medical consultation in the presence of serious health conditions. Programmes involving contrast therapies and intensive hydrotherapy are not recommended for guests with severe cardiovascular disease, acute infections or fever, open wounds or active skin infections, advanced varicose veins, thrombophlebitis, or a recent history of thrombosis.

However, for wellness programmes at Evian®SPA, the most comfortable period is from early September through the end of June, when the resort is less crowded and offers a quieter atmosphere for recovery and relaxation. The summer months (July and August) are better suited to outdoor activities, including lakeside walks, golf, and hiking in the Alps.
The culinary philosophy at Hotel Royal Evian is based on seasonal ingredients, including produce grown in the resort’s own 3,000 m² organic kitchen garden, which supplies its restaurants.
