Doctor Vladislav Hospodár
About the doctor
Dr. Vladislav Hospodář is Head of the Orthopedics Department at Malvazinky Clinic in Prague. He graduated from J. E. Purkyně University in Hradec Králové, with a focus on military medicine.
From 1989 to 1998, he worked as a physician in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Central Military Hospital in Prague, and served as its chief physician from 1999 to 2003. Since 2003, he has headed orthopedics and full joint replacement at Malvazinky Clinic.
He completed several international fellowships: in Toronto, Canada (1993), Leeds, UK (1994), and Bonn, Germany (1996). A longtime team physician for the Czech national handball, basketball and ice hockey teams, he served as chief physician for the national ice hockey team at the 2010 World Championship in Germany, and regularly travels with the Czech team to the Winter Olympics, including Sochi (2014) and Pyeongchang (2018). He also treats a number of well-known Czech athletes, including professional footballers and hockey players.
