Resort description

Hotel Imperial 5* is located in one of the leading wellness regions of the Czech Republic, part of the famous “spa triangle” of western Bohemia. The resort is situated in a forest park area, a 10-15 minute walk from the main Colonnade with its mineral springs. This location provides a favorable microclimate for patients with diseases of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems.

A key element of the resort’s medical infrastructure is its own drinking water pavilion, which draws water directly from the most famous local spring — Vřídlo. The mineral water is rich in sodium, sulfates, bicarbonates, chlorides, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and also contains natural carbon dioxide and a range of trace elements. The temperature of the spring reaches 73°C, and the hot mineral water is effectively used in balneological procedures.

Hotel Imperial 5* is suitable for patients who are recommended treatment for diseases of the musculoskeletal system, gastrointestinal tract and metabolic disorders, including diabetes mellitus and obesity, as well as patients undergoing rehabilitation after injuries and surgeries.

Medical centers

Imperial Medical Center

The medical center is spread over two floors. On the first floor is a hydrotherapy facility with four baths for water procedures and a separate room for subcutaneous CO₂ gas injections. On the second floor there are massage rooms, mud wrap rooms and physical therapy rooms, offering magnetotherapy, laser therapy, electrotherapy, ultrasound therapy and paraffin applications.

The most popular and effective procedures at the Imperial Medical Center are:

  • Carbon dioxide baths — aimed at improving peripheral blood circulation and tissue nutrition;
  • Subcutaneous CO₂ gas injections — enhance local blood flow and help relieve pain;
  • Mud applications with thermal mud from the Františkovy Lázně deposit — the mixture is heated to 40-42 °C and applied locally to the affected joints or spine;
  • Drinking course of mineral water from the in-house pavilion — prescribed individually and is a mandatory part of programs for gastrointestinal and metabolic diseases.

Additionally, the list includes manual and mechanical lymphatic drainage and therapeutic massage.

The Imperial Medical Center offers four treatment packages:

  • PREMIUM — comprehensive treatment with up to 18 procedures per week. Includes initial and final medical examinations, laboratory tests as prescribed by a doctor, drinking cures and a dietitian consultation.
  • INTENSIVE — extended package with up to 24 procedures per week. In addition to PREMIUM options, it includes 24-hour nursing presence and one hour in a hyperbaric chamber.
  • FIT & SLIM — weight loss program. The package includes doctor and dietitian consultations, body composition analysis using an InBody device, laboratory tests of metabolic markers, up to 18 procedures per week and one hour in a hyperbaric chamber. Upon completion, an individual nutrition plan is provided.
  • CLASSIC — basic package for short-term stays. Includes an initial medical examination, drinking cures and procedures calculated as 7 procedures per 5 nights, with each additional night adding 1 procedure. A doctor is present Monday to Friday in the morning.

All programs include free access to the wellness area with a pool, sauna and jacuzzi, as well as the sports center.

Imperial Wellness Center

The center’s infrastructure includes: an indoor thermal water pool, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, a jacuzzi, a salt cave for halotherapy sessions, and a relaxation area.

Recently, the Imperial Wellness Center has developed a range of apitherapy procedures — a therapeutic and wellness approach based on the use of bee products. The uniqueness of the method lies in its comprehensive effect on the body. The procedures use natural components — honey, propolis, royal jelly and beeswax, each possessing valuable biologically active properties.

Apitherapy is used at the resort as a way to effectively support the patient’s immune system and overall health restoration. This method naturally helps reduce stress levels, improve sleep quality and strengthen the body.

The resort’s wellness center offers a wide selection of procedures focused on medical preventive care:

Hydrotherapy Hydromassage “Hydroxer” bath with acupuncture elements, vortex bath, Scottish shower and mineral baths. Relax muscles, improve blood circulation and accelerate recovery after injuries.
Massages Classic full-body and partial, underwater, detoxification, head massage, aromatherapy and Thai massage. Relieve tension, improve blood circulation and accelerate tissue regeneration.
Thermal procedures Parafango — local heating with a mixture of paraffin and mud, indicated for diseases of the musculoskeletal system and metabolic disorders. Paraffin gloves alleviate conditions of rheumatic hand joint diseases and hydrate the skin.
Therapeutic exercise Pool sessions and group training for musculoskeletal recovery and cardiovascular system strengthening. Sessions are conducted under the guidance of a trainer.
Physiotherapy Aimed at diagnosis, treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders. Methods include reflex massage, soft tissue techniques, lymphatic drainage, shockwave therapy and kinesiotaping.
Electrotherapy Interferential currents with vacuum massage reduce pain, improve blood supply and cellular metabolism. Ultrasound helps relieve tension, accelerate healing and reduce swelling.
Phototherapy Includes infrared radiation, color therapy and ultraviolet. Laser accelerates cellular metabolism, has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, and accelerates wound healing.
Oxygen therapy  Inhalation of oxygen-enriched air, including in a hyperbaric chamber. Promotes recovery after strokes, heart attacks and surgeries.
Lymphatic drainage Aimed at relieving swelling, improving lymph flow and detoxifying the body. Used for venous insufficiency, post-traumatic and post-operative conditions, cellulite.

All procedures are available both individually and as part of wellness packages. Relax includes a mineral bath and a classic massage. Detox offers a choice of honey massage with lymphatic drainage or a pearl bath, supplemented by a doctor’s consultation. Antistress combines a head massage, a bath with mineral additives, paraffin gloves and oxygen therapy, also with a medical consultation.

Thermal procedures are not recommended for acute inflammatory processes, exacerbation of chronic diseases, active-phase oncological diseases, severe forms of cardiovascular insufficiency, as well as during pregnancy. Apitherapy is contraindicated in case of individual intolerance to bee products, allergies to honey, propolis and bee venom. A doctor’s consultation is mandatory before starting procedures.
