Resort description
La Residence & Idrokinesis is a medical complex located in the thermal resort of Abano-Terme. It specializes in medical rehabilitation for patients with musculoskeletal diseases, neurological conditions, and post-injury and post-surgery states.
The resort’s therapeutic base is founded on two natural factors of the resort: hyperthermal bromine-iodine water and mature Euganean mud. The mineral water, rising from a depth of three kilometers, maintains a temperature of 75-87°C and contains iodine, bromine, sodium, and chlorine. During treatments in thermal pools, these components penetrate through the skin and have a myorelaxant, painkilling and anti-inflammatory effect on joints and muscle tissue. Euganean mud, which matures for three years, enhances microcirculation, activates lymphatic drainage and metabolic processes, reduces swelling and stiffness, and slows degenerative changes in cartilage tissue.
The Idrokinesis Center accepts patients with arthrosis, osteochondrosis, rheumatological conditions, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke conditions, sports injuries, and post-joint replacement states. As well as those in need of comprehensive recovery under the supervision of a multidisciplinary medical team.

Idrokinesis Hydrokinesiotherapy Center
Idrokinesis is the first hydrokinesiotherapy and rehabilitation complex in Europe using thermal water. The treatment course here combines traditional methods, analgesic therapy, hydrokinesiotherapy, and mineral water procedures.
Upon arrival at the center, a complete health assessment (Hydrokinesis Protocol) is conducted to create a recovery program and prepare rehabilitation protocols. The standard treatment duration is 10-14 days, which allows achieving a lasting therapeutic effect.
At Idrokinesis, patients have access to the following infrastructure:
| Hydrokinesiotherapy Center | An indoor pool with thermal water (32-34°C) featuring lanes for therapeutic exercise and hydromassage units. Sessions are conducted under the guidance of physiotherapists. |
| Peloidotherapy Department | Rooms for applications of mature thermal mud. |
| Physiotherapy Room | Equipment for ultrasound therapy, magnetic therapy, laser therapy, and electrophoresis. |
| Inhalation Area | Treatment with bromine-iodine aerosols for respiratory tract diseases. |

Frequently asked questions
In contrast to free swimming, hydrotherapy is a dosage exercise that the patient performs in warm water under doctor’s supervision. Water acts as a supportive environment, reducing the load on the spine by up to 80%, which allows you to safely train your deep back muscles and develop joints without pain.
Yes, the resort accepts children with neurological conditions (including Cerebral palsy) for rehabilitation. The hydrokinesiotherapy method is particularly effective for children, as water helps relax spastic muscles.
To achieve lasting results for chronic conditions (arthrosis, hernias), a course of treatment is recommended 1-2 times per year. The therapeutic effect typically begins to diminish 3-6 months after the course.
