Savoy Westend Hotel Luxury Medical & SPA Resort 5* is a medical complex in the historical center of Karlovy Vary. Next to it is the famous resort colonnade — a covered gallery with healing springs. The local bicarbonate-sulfate-sodium thermal water is the basis of drinking cures and one of the main natural resources of the resort.
Savoy Westend Hotel is suitable for patients who are recommended treatment for musculoskeletal diseases, including osteochondrosis, arthritis and arthrosis, conditions after injuries and orthopedic surgeries. It has its own laboratory for clinical analyses, and specialists have access to more than 300 wellness and medical procedures. Programs are available in key areas: rehabilitation, prevention, detox, weight control and stress reduction.

The Savoy Westend Medical Center is a medical facility accredited by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic in the field of rehabilitation and physical medicine. Savoy Westend is the only resort in Karlovy Vary with such accreditation.
The Medical Center is headed by Dr. Ladislav Špišák — a balneologist and rehabilitation specialist, awarded the state order of Moldova for his contribution to patient treatment, and also a scientific mentor at the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Pilsen. Under his leadership, 15 medical packages have been developed, including:

In addition to ready-made packages, the medical center offers a wide range of individual procedures. These include drinking cures with Karlovy Vary mineral water, individually tailored diet therapy, as well as various physiotherapy: electrotherapy, magnetotherapy, thermo- and phototherapy. For rehabilitation after injuries and surgeries, mechanotherapy and water traction (gentle spinal traction in water) methods are used, and for general wellness — hydrotherapy and therapeutic exercise.
Afrodite Spa & Wellness Center
The Afrodite Spa & Wellness Center is a spacious wellness area of 3000 m², designed for relaxation, hydrotherapy, thermal relaxation and physical fitness.
The center’s infrastructure includes a water zone with the largest pool in Karlovy Vary, 25 meters long with a water temperature of about 29°C, a Jacuzzi with hydromassage, ice plunge pools for contrast procedures, and a Kneipp path for leg vein training. The thermal zone includes a traditional Finnish sauna for deep heating, a gentle Turkish hammam and a healing salt cave creating a microclimate beneficial for the respiratory system. The fitness center is equipped with cardio machines and strength stations, and also features Thai massage and Ayurvedic procedure rooms.
At Afrodite Spa & Wellness, patients have access to the following wellness programs:

Standard contraindications for thermal and balneological treatment: acute infectious and febrile conditions, exacerbation of chronic diseases, severe cardiovascular insufficiency, uncontrolled hypertension, recent heart attack or stroke (less than 3-6 months), thrombophlebitis, oncological diseases, epilepsy, open wounds and skin infections, pregnancy (without medical consultation). In the presence of chronic diseases, consult with the resort’s attending physician before visiting the thermal area.
