One of the first private reproductive medicine centers in the Czech Republic, in operation since 1994

Official partner of McGill University (Canada) since 2014

The country’s largest donor egg bank, with 1,400 donors

The only clinic in the Czech Republic to combine a full IVF cycle with a holistic approach

UNICA is one of the first private reproductive medicine centers in the Czech Republic, founded in Brno in 1994. Today the clinic operates in two cities — Prague and Brno — and specializes in treating infertility, including complex cases and programs for women over 40.

Since 2014, UNICA has partnered with Canada’s McGill University: the clinic’s doctors and embryologists train under the guidance of McGill specialists, which keeps the clinic’s protocols in line with current international standards.

The clinic uses modern assisted reproductive technologies, including ICSI, PICSI, MACS, and genetic testing of embryos (PGT-A is available even without medical indications, alongside PGT-SR and PGT-M), as well as freezing and vitrification of eggs and sperm for fertility preservation.

The overall pregnancy rate for the donor program is 71.2% after the first full treatment cycle (including frozen embryo transfers) and 96.5% after three full cycles (clinic data for 2024). UNICA’s donor egg bank is one of the largest in the country, with 1,400 donors, which helps avoid long waits for a suitable donor.

A distinct focus of the clinic is its holistic approach to infertility treatment: supporting the conception process through acupuncture, yoga and physiotherapy alongside the main treatment. According to the clinic, UNICA is the only center in the Czech Republic to combine this with a full IVF cycle.
